​ESDA and the City of Everett are collaborating on installing four murals in the neighborhood this year.


With the support of an Everett Forward grant, the Mural Project will enable:

  • Two standard murals on walls to be selected, offered by local businesses.

  • Painting the underside and support columns of the Pacific Ave overpass over Smith Ave.

  • A digitally designed mural that will be printed and installed on the billboard space of the Crown Distribution Building along McDougall St.

A Community Advisory Group will be formed to help select the artists, artistic direction, and two of the walls to be painted.  We expect the first mural to be painted in May 2022, with the remaining murals painted over the summer. 

We expect the murals to embrace themes of reflecting our region's natural setting, our industrial past and present, a renewal to a brighter future coming out of the pandemic, welcomeness into city, and the past and future transit services.
